Big news! I'm proud to be the one to announce that Andrew Kutz has just joined the team here at Hyper9. Personally, I'm excited that we now have him on board the team as we continue to execute on and address the challenges and the needs of the virtual administrator.
Andrew brings to the company years of hands-on experience and expertise in this growing virtualization industry of ours. And his valuable thought leadership will be a welcomed addition to Hyper9's existing team of recognized industry experts. Andrew is a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer, a SANS/GIAC certified Windows Security Administrator, and a VMware Certified Professional.
As a fellow Austinite, I've had the pleasure of knowing Andrew for a while now; and like many of you in the virtualization community, I've been a big fan of his work in the virtualization space. If you've ever used a plug-in on your VMware VI3 environment, more than likely, you can thank Andrew for his contributions. Not only did he create arguably one of the most downloaded and talked about plug-ins -- the SVMotion plug-in -- but he also wrote other favorites like Invoke, Console and AddPortGroups. And let's not forget, he helped the community-at-large by giving us the popular "unofficial" guide to creating VMware plug-ins long before VMware was ready to come out with their own documentation on the subject.
Prior to joining Hyper9, Andrew was the lead application architect for the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, the same University that he graduated from. He also put his virtualization expertise to good use as an analyst for the Burton Group, and he continues to write for TechTarget Magazine, where he is listed as one of the publication's Virtualization Pros.
Welcome aboard Andrew.
